A Juicy ‘Quickie’ Story – Part 1…

Posted by Alexa Da Silva on February 26, 2010

unzipped“What the hell am I doing? I’m a good girl. I just do not do things like this.”

A tiny fraction of my brain was murmuring at the back of my mind, but the remainder of my consciousness was sending my hands on a thorough exploration of the thickly haired chest that had appeared from beneath my companion’s polo shirt. The fact that I never liked men with hairy chests seemed irrelevant.

John thrust a hand beneath my top and squeezed my left nipple hard – wonderfully hard, making me squeal with pleasure. For a split second I remembered how thin the walls were between my house and my neighbor’s, but I was instantly deflected from worry by the speed at which my top was being removed, and my breasts freed from their suddenly tight confinement.

Seconds later, I was grabbing at his trouser waistband… (Read on – www.OystersandChocolate.com)

Valentine’s Day – Kinky Pagan Sex Ritual?

Posted by Alexa Da Silva on February 13, 2010

~ PAGAN ORIGINS of a CHRISTIANIZED HOLIDAY ~

valentineAs an estimated 1 billion cards are exchanged this Valentine’s Day, perhaps we should take a look at where this popular holiday came from.

In Pagan Rome, February 14 was set aside for the Eve of Lupercalia, which was an ancient Roman festival named for the fertility god Lupercus. The holiday was devoted to the Goddess Juno, Queen of the gods and patroness of marriage. The Eve of Lupercalia (February 14) was also the day when young ladies’ names were written on slips of paper and thrown into jars to be picked out one by one by the young men. The chooser and the chosen would then be partnered together for the rest of the festival. These pairings often resulted in lasting relationships.

The Lupercalia Festival itself actually started on February 15. (The name of sex_ritualthe month comes from Februa – meaning purifying & cleaning. No doubt, this is where we get our urge to do a little ’spring cleaning’ every year about this time.) Lupercalia was a Roman ritual of purification and fertility, and the main activity was lustration (light flogging) with a goat skin scourge. The purpose of the flogging and animal sacrifices was to purify the people from curses, bad luck and infertility. Afterwards, the young men would run through  the streets naked in playfulness and laughter, lightly whipping women with the hide of the slain animal to promote fertility. Then the young ladies would purposely and playfully present their hands or their backsides to be struck, believing that this would help them when pregnant to  have an easy delivery, and would help the barren to become pregnant. Of course, this was before Christianity had infused society with a heavy dose of shame about sexuality. People of this period could celebrate and express sexuality openly in the middle of town!

Later, as Christianity began to oppressively replace Paganism, Pope Gelasius I in 496 A.D. abolished Lupercalia in order to do away with what he considered “barbaric, immoral and  un-Christian” practices. He then established St. Valentine’s Day, named after a Christian priest and martyr named Valentinus.

So how does a chubby cherub with a bow and arrow get mixed up into all of cupidthis? In Roman mythology, they called him Cupid. He was innocent like a child, though sometimes mischievous or ‘naughty’. He was represented as a young, winged boy, who was blindfolded (as love is blind) carrying a bow and arrows. The arrows would strike someone’s heart and make them fall in love. And even though Cupid was often a boy, the images of winged, rosy-faced babies may be based on images from Renaissance painters. They painted a smaller group of winged infants who often accompanied Cupid called Amorini or Amoretti -”the messengers of love”

ErosiHowever, in ancient Greek mythology, Cupid was know as the god Eros, and was an older, fiercer god. Eros was no meddlesome child to the Greeks, but a powerful god to be feared. His arrows “burned with the fire of lust and madness” as well as with romance. In the worst of cases, Eros was capable of driving men and women to betrayal of their families and countries, to rape, murder and even suicide.

Later, Eros and Cupid became the personification of love in all its manifestations including strong & passionate physical love, tender & romantic love, and playful, sportive love.

This holiday marks the beginning of Spring, new life, fertility and the mating season. It persists in our memory as the day of love in all its wonder!

Sex Twice a Week Keeps the Doctor Away

Posted by Alexa Da Silva on February 7, 2010

RedLoveMEN who have sex at least twice a week can cut their risk of heart disease almost in half according to new research.

So, a roll in the hay keeps the doctor away you say? According to  The American Journal of Cardiology, men who indulge in regular lovemaking are up to 45 percent less likely to develop life-threatening heart conditions. The researchers were so impressed with their findings that they suggested doctors start screening men for sexual activity as a way to determine their risk for heart disease.

Sex is an activity that involves intense physical and emotional elements, and is likely to result in intense benefits as well. The researchers from the New England Research Institute in Massachusetts, who led this study, believe that sex may be a marker for a healthy heart because:

• Sex can be a form of physical activity that, like exercise, gives your heart a workout.

• People who have a desire for frequent sex, and are able to do so, are likely healthier overall.

• Sex has also been found to boost self-esteem and improve intimacy in your relationship.

This is because sex and orgasms result in increased levels of the hormone oxytocin. This hormone can evoke feelings of contentment, reduction in anxiety, and feelings of calmness and security around a mate. As oxytocin increases, so do hormones known as endorphins, which in turn lessen feelings of pain related to everything from headaches and arthritis to symptoms of PMS. Sex can even help you to get a better night’s sleep!

So if your doctor starts grilling you about your bedroom habits, now at least you’ll know why.

6 Ways to Have a Successful Sexy Threesome

Posted by Alexa Da Silva on February 4, 2010

Threesomes2MÉNAGE À TROIS tres bien? If you’ve been toying with the idea of having a 3-way sexual encounter, what keeps you from ‘taking the plunge’? Anytime is the right time for a good threesome. Perhaps you’ve ‘been there done that’ already and it just didn’t turn out as you’d planned.  Reid Mihalko of ReidAboutSex.com was Reid-About-Threesomes last night at The Pleasure Chest Los Angeles where he hosted a class called ‘Negotiating Successful and Sexy Threesomes”. I visited just to brush up on my own negotiation skills of course, and found the whole evening well worth attending.

What is a successful threesome anyway? Reid posed this question to the audience last night. In my opinion, I know my 3-way date is a success if everyone leaves satisfied and feeling like a winner – a ‘win-win-win’ situation.  I see ‘thumbs up’,  I hear a comment like, ‘”Hey, let’s try that again soon”, or  we decide to grab a bite to eat together and we all want to linger.  Wondering how to create a rewarding, sexy threesome? I believe communication is the key! And it just  so happens that I took  home 6 effective tips from the evening that I’d love to share…

1. Expand your ideas about what a threesome is.  It is not defined  only by ’swingers’ or ’swappers’, not only among those within ‘polyamory’ circles, nor is it only between 2 women & a man, 2 men & a woman, 3 men, or 3 women, or even between transgendered individuals. There are many different variations for threesomes and endless possibilities for pleasure. Open your horizons to consider adults combining any three-in-a-bed, and your perspectives may change on the whole subject.

2.  Express your desire to participate in a threesome or not to. It is okay to veto or say no to a 3-way encounter, as it is also okay to initiate one. As Reid recommends when he’s with 2 people he’d like to get cozy with, “I break the ice by saying ‘I have an idea…’ “

3. Don’t be afraid to feel awkward. Reid suggested, ‘”If you can feel comfortable with being awkward, you can succeed”. I believe we tend to take sex a little too seriously in our society. Sex can be about fun and play, not just procreation. And we are all allowed to make mistakes, express ourselves, and learn. Practice makes perfect!

4. Have the ’safer sex’ talk immediately.  I have found that this can be a deal -breaker and should not be taken lightly if you value your health. Discussing safer sex practices and testing is important before you hit the bedroom. This is a way of ’screening’ or ‘interviewing’ your potential playmates to see if you’re compatible to continue.

5. Clearly discuss your rules, boundaries and needs without hesitation. (Be sure to do your homework before considering an encounter so you know what your rules and boundaries are – believe me, you have them!) If you’ve gotten this far and you’re ready for play, your communication needs to become even more specific now. It’s important to agree upon ’safe words’ or stop signals if the need should arise.  Perhaps you decide on using ‘timeouts’ to regroup, to overcome jealousy,  or in case someone is feeling left out. Talking about this before hand can create smooth sailing later.

6. Invite a sexual professional to participate in your threesome as a  facilitator if you desire. There are many different types of sexual facilitators such as  sex surrogates, sex coaches, sexual shamans, Tantra & Taoist practitioners, sensual massage therapists, courtesans, etc. And any of these professionals, if well-educated, trained and experienced, can be a wonderful asset to assist you with your threesome exploration if you decide that this is something that you may need. Hercules from ThePleasureCoach.org says, “Having a threesome doesn’t mean you have to have sexual intercourse. You could explore receiving an erotic massage while others watch or having one all together… Other possibilities could include just kissing or cuddling, food play or body painting, and even experimenting with adult toys together. ” As Reid suggested last night, “Even voyeurism is participation”.

So, now that you’re armed with the basics, go forth, be safe and have fun!

A Porn Star for Senator??

Posted by Alexa Da Silva on January 25, 2010

Actress Stormy Daniels arrives to the 50th Annual GRAMMY AwardsSCOTT BROWN, once named “America’s Sexiest Man” when he posed nude in a 1982 issue of Cosmopolitan, has now become a hero of Senate Republicans after scoring an upset victory in Massachusetts last week. But according to Missy Comley Beattie, political writer for CounterPunch, the question of the hour seems to be “Could a Woman who Posed Nude Get Elected for Senator??”.

As Missy so aptly states, “If a female candidate had posed nude with an arm across her breasts to hide her nipples and her hand covering her woman machine, can you imagine the storm of criticism that would lightning strike and electrocute her campaign? She would be fried.” I would tend to agree with Missy on this, especially since we see that even beauty pageant titleholders have to relinquish their crowns when a nude photograph or video emerges of one of them in various stages of undress. However, it seems that the question of the hour is not going unchallenged for 2010. Do I smell a sexual revolution coming on in America??

Stormy Daniels, a 30-year-old adult film star with more than 150 steamy flicks to her name, is getting set to heat up Louisiana’s 2010 Senate race. Daniels, the star of Operation Desert Stormy — in which she plays a CIA agent who fights terrorists while wearing Army-fatigue booty shorts — says she plans to toss her G-string in the ring (although she hadn’t officially announced her candidacy as of press time). When asked why she wants to forgo porn for politics:

Q: Why shoot for the Senate?

A: I was drafted by a group called Draft Stormy, a grassroots movement in Louisiana that wanted someone who was the polar opposite of current senator David Vitter. They figured I would be perfect because I am open and honest about my sexuality, unlike Vitter. I realized that this is my chance to make a difference, to do something unselfish, noble, and to help a lot of people… (more of this interview…)

Older Men Have Better Sex…

Posted by Alexa Da Silva on January 15, 2010

goldeneyeMANY MEN still have an exceptional sex drive as they get older, even though men tend to reach their sexual prime in their late 20’s and 30’s. So how can older men have better sex? Is the only real solution to take Viagra or use penis pumps? Here are some great sex tips to keep you on top of your game.

More Foreplay

As men grow older, they may need more stimulation to achieve orgasm or to become aroused. This is something that simply results from decreasing levels of testosterone. Before you go out and buy a bottle of pills, try having more foreplay before sex, and even before masturbation. Women love foreplay, and this can be a key to helping you achieve and maintain a lasting erection that will keep her satisfied.

Maintain Good Health

Older men in good health report having a better sex life, as opposed to men who aren’t physically fit. Exercise and healthy eating can definitely improve your sexual health. Men with physical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and other chronic ailments, may find a decrease in sex drive or the inability to get or maintain an erection. Certain medications may also cause these side effects as well. It is important to see your doctor regularly for checkups and blood tests. Your doctor can help with sexual issues that may arise.

Try New Things

There are many varieties of sex that can still be fun at an older age. Try using toys, tantra or anal play. And even having sex at different times of the day or in different places, can add something fresh. Remember that intercourse is only part of the intimacy that you share with your partner. You can also bring some fun in the bedroom with oral sex as foreplay for you both, along with some good kissing and hugging!

The Goddess Collection – January 2010

Posted by Alexa Da Silva on January 15, 2010

Rita Moreno5ONCE AGAIN it’s time to share with you another beauty in the collection of enchanting and classic women as ‘Goddess of the Month’.

The goddess of January is the sultry Rita Moreno, born Rosa Dolores Alverio on December 11, 1932 in Humacao, Puerto Rico. In 1937, Rita moved to New York City along with her mother, where she began a professional career before she was a teenager. The 11-year-old Rosita got her first movie experience dubbing Spanish-language versions of American films. Less than a month before her 14th birthday on November 11, 1945, she made her Broadway debut in the play “Skydrift” at the Belasco Theatre, co-starring with Arthur Keegan and the young Eli Wallach.

Moreno quickly moved on to the glamorous Hollywood silver screen, with her role as ‘Zelda Zanders’ in the 1952 movie Singin’ in the Rain, and later as ‘Tuptim’ in the 1956 movie The King and I. By 1961, Moreno delivered the unforgettable performance that would skyrocket her career. Playing the role of ‘Anita’ in the movie version of the smash hit Broadway musical West Side Story won her a well-deserved Oscar as Best Supporting Actress.

Along the way Puerto Rican-born Moreno has become a trailblazer and inspiration for aspiring Latino actors. Rita Moreno’s versatility as a performer has led to decades of success on stage, screen, and television. She is the only female entertainer to have won all four of the most prestigious show business awards: the Oscar for the role of Anita in the 1961 film West Side Story, the Tony for the role of Googie Gomez in the 1975 production of The Ritz, Emmy awards in 1977 and 1978 for appearances on The Muppet Show and The Rockford Files, and a Grammy for her 1972 performance on The Electric Company Album. More recently, Moreno received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995.

“Bigger than life is not difficult for me. I am bigger than life.”  Rita Moreno
